Hola, mi amigas/os.
My name is Sarah Nicole Green, and as you can tell by the name of this blog, I am the brain behind it.
Here is pretty much everything you need to know about me:
I am a full-time interior architect. I went to school at Oklahoma State University for interior design and got my BS in Design, Housing, and Merchandising with a focus on facility management and interior design. I am extremely passionate about commercial interior architecture and creating spaces and environments that influence people for the better. Architecture & interior design have been fun for me since childhood. I remember playing The Sims as a 12 year old and making a family that I didn’t care about just so I could build and design my dream home. I had a sketch pad for my “bedspread designs,” when I was 10 or 11. I used Microsoft Paint to create bedroom and living room schemes by copying photos of furniture I liked online and pasting them into a room I created. It was basically amateur Photoshop.
I am a part-time yoga teacher, full-time yogi. I got my yoga teaching certification in May 2016, and have been teaching about 1-2 times per week ever since! I fell in love with yoga my senior year of college, but never considered teaching until about one year later. For some reason, the thought popped into my head, and my gut told me “do it.” So, I did it. Thanks, gut! Yoga is more than a physical practice for me. It is emotional and spiritual, as well.
I am a wellness junkie. Before I landed on the interior architecture career path, my major in college was Nutrition & Dietetics! I love the study of nutrition and learning about all of the ways that food influences us – physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. Some of my favorite things to study are Ayurveda, adaptogenic herbs and mushrooms, and plant-based lifestyles. I don’t restrict myself to any specific “diet” so-to-speak, like paleo, vegan, or gluten-free. I love food, cooking, and developing recipes.
I am a groupie. I recently married my best friend and the best guitar player I know (and will ever know, obviously). Music is a big part of my life, and I never dreamed I’d be so lucky to marry a musician. SWOON. I love being a groupie with my dude!
